BHS AI. SANEF Level II. IGEQ Level II. Ride with your Mind accredited trainer. I've been riding for over thirty years, teaching for over twenty. My initial love was three day eventing, but injury led me to dressage. I rode for the South African Lipizzaner team (the only team that the SRS recognizes and trains, as they were the country offering safe harbor to a band of Lipizzaner mares evacuated during the war). For the past 5 years I have traveled extensively teaching freelance clinics about ethical training, correct ground work and long line work leading into correct, fair, gymnastic ridden work. Because many of the countries I travel to are relatively new to horses, there is a lot of misinformation and ignorance.

What makes me a Concordia Professional?

Ethical treatment of horses is the utmost priority. The tag line of my coaching business is -Your horse is your coach, I just translate. I coach riders to notice what their horse is doing, make changes in their body and notice the immediate impact on the horse's way of going, and see things from a different view. I am generally the first trainer asking them to remove the draw reins, the nose bands, the spurs and to begin to question why someone would have suggested this in the first place. Some of the places I travel to are tough as they are not horse friendly, but slowly, step by step, we are creating awareness.
